Greetings from Mt Roskill Primary & Mt Roskill Intermediate Schools.
Planning for our 2019 Auckland Interschool AdaptedSports Day has begun. This annual event is for Primary and Intermediate-age students with special needs. You may have students in either mainstream or exclusive settings who would be interested in attending.
If the child requires one-to-one supervision, you must organise for either a teacher aide or parent to accompany him / her.
Venue: Mt Roskill Primary School, Frost Road, Mt RoskillDate: Friday 29th March 2019 Time: 9.45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Saving Day is the following week (Friday 5th April).
RegistrationPlease fill in one of the attached forms (one is for individual entries, the other is for groups); then e-mail to the appropriate Registrar below (Primary / Intermediate) as soon as possible before the Registration Cut-off Date - Friday 15th March.
(Final organisation starts the following Monday)

Late EntriesWe would rather not turn children away, but we really have to draw the line at large numbers of late entries (1 or 2 competitors we can usually fit in).
Please be aware that each team is limited to 9 competitors, and as soon as the registration cut-off date has passed, it cannot be guaranteed that a competitor will be placed in the desired team – e.g. Ambulant competitor may have to be put in the Walking Frame team (where there is a space).
Please do not send registrations to the main school office – they may not get to the organisers in time (late entries in particular). Ring one of the registrars if you need clarification.
Permission FormsThere is an additional section this year, which gives permission for Halberg Sports or Paralympics NZ to contact the family if it’s decided their child has some very strong sporting abilities.

‘Not to be Filmed / Photographed’ competitors: Yellow stickers are available at the Information Table on the day – they alert the photographer to keep this child out of the picture.
DonationsThis year the AdaptedSports organisers have decided that all expenses [for the event] will come from fundraising, e.g. the sponsor who funds the rosettes and St John’s cover, plus the wonderful teams from Westpac Bank who run the Sausage Sizzle fundraiser on the day.
We are extremely grateful to those schools who kindly donated last year, e.g. Lincoln Heights School, Wairau Valley Special School, Flanshaw Road School, Arohanui School and Pt Chevalier School.
A great day is planned for all. We look forward to seeing you on the 29th March.
