This Friday, the Sport Auckland team will be accompanying DOC and Fullers to take approximately 180 Green Prescription (GRX) and ActivAsian clients to Rangitoto. This will be the third trip to Rangitoto Island, an initiative that started in October 2017 to provide the opportunity for GRx clients from across Auckland and Counties Manukau to unite and share a unique & challenging experience in walking the summit track. Fullers have kindly funded 200 ferry tickets for the coming walk and DOC staff continue to support the initiative which has become a bi-annual event. As conservation week is 15-23 September, the walk has been planned to coincide with this.
