Andrew Williams – Chair
Principal

Andrew is a Director at Alliott NZ Ltd. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has over 35 years’ experience in the profession specialising with SME’s, trusts and general taxation services. Since 2013 he has been the Chair of Sport Auckland. A keen golfer Andrew has also coached rugby Auckland RFU premier and age grade level in Auckland.

Di Lasenby - Treasurer

Di Lasenby is the Chief Executive of Auckland Netball Centre and the General Manager of the Northern Stars Netball Franchise. She has vast experience in private and non profit sectors; Financial Management; Risk, compliance and Health and Safety; Marketing and Sponsorship; and possesses strong stakeholder and relationship management skills. Previous roles have included stints at the Grand Mercure Puka Park Resort as their Sales and Marketing Manager and 14 years as the Business Development Manager at Hotel du Vin.

Brendon O’Connor

Brendon works for Pricewaterhouse Coopers NZ. Previously he was the Co-Owner and Senior Consultant of O’Connor Sinclair. Brendon has extensive commercial experience in the sports, events, facilities and government sectors. His previous roles have included being Commercial and Marketing Director of NZRU, CEO of North Harbour Stadium and a six month stint consulting to the Jaguar Formula One team. He has done a lot of consulting work with NSOs on behalf of Sport NZ and is a long term volunteer for Youth Sports Clubs in Auckland.

Mark Rice

Mark works as a consultant for Techtorium NZ Institute of Information technology. He is strongly connected to the education sector having been a former Principal of St Pauls College in Auckland and a former board member of ASSHA which oversees College Sport throughout the Auckland region.

Gaye Bryham

Gaye is the Deputy Head of the School of Sport and Recreation at AUT. She has over twenty years experience in the Sport and Recreation sector. She is a Trustee of the Millennium Operating Board and sits on two Advisory Boards namely the Aktive Auckland Tertiary Advisory Group and the Aktive Auckland Coaching & Talent Development Advisory Group. Gaye was a Board member of the North Island Academy of Sport before it was merged into the current High Performance Sport NZ.

Boaz Moala

As a husband to my beautiful wife Angela and father to my two children, I stand on the shoulders of my ancestors from the main Island of Upolu in Western Samoa. I am from the district of Faleata. In the small village of Sāina, I was raised by my grandparents who imprinted in me the value of “Tautua” or service. Tautua first to God, second to my family and
then the village or community that I serve in.
I spent 15 years in the security industry working my way up the corporate ladder to become a Service Manager, completing in the process a Certificate in Theology, while being the Senior Pastor of Sanctuary Community Church in Glen Innes, East Auckland. I left the Service Manager position in pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Social Work, which led me to Otara Health working in the community of Otara as a Community Event Project Coordinator. I gained a Certificate in Health Promotion Level 4 and was exposed to community empowerment, development and engagement, which I soon realised were my passion.
In August 2019, I was able to return to the East Auckland area as the Panmure Community Center Manager for Auckland Council. My role has increased with time and I am currently looking after the Panmure, Glen Innes and Oranga Community Centers building relationships and working with local community groups. I believe that by being community minded, the loudest voice in a community talanoa is the community and that community holds the answer to the community in whatever they face.

Kelly Williams
(LLB (Hons), LLM)

Kelly Williams is a senior lawyer at Buddle Findlay, Auckland. Buddle Findlay is a national commercial law firm. She practices in banking and finance law and is part of the Insolvency, Financial Services and Asia Business team. Kelly has over 10 years legal experience and acts for corporate borrowers, banks and financial institutions. She is also the secretary of the Pacific Lawyers Association Executive.
Kelly is Samoan, grew up in Wellington and has spent time working in the Cook Islands at the beginning of her legal career. Kelly's family now live in Auckland and she has 3 primary school children who play a multitude of different sports.
Kelly has a particular interest in using her legal and governance skills to promote better pathways and lifestyles for Pacific peoples, other minority groups, women and girls.
