Sport Auckland works in partnership with 17 primary and intermediate schools within the Waitemata cluster.  The schools vary from decile 4-10 consisting of a diverse population within vibrant communities. Sport Auckland support the schools and the communities to provide quality opportunities to participate in sport and play for the young people.

Taylor was brought up in Auckland and attended the Auckland University of Technology and achieved a Bachelor of Sport and Recreation. Whilst studying, Taylor undertook an eighteen-month co-operative education placement with Sport Auckland. This placement involved carrying out a research project where Taylor looked at understanding the motivation and participation barriers in physical activity for 5-10 year olds in a school setting. From this placement, Taylor gained a full-time role with Sport Auckland in a graduate profile position.

Taylor has always been involved in all aspects of sport and enjoys playing in a team environment. Her favourite sports include Netball, Waka Ama and Paddle Boarding.

Her eighteen-month placement emphasises and highly contributes towards her passion to work on a community level. Taylor is looking forward to continuing on with her work in the Inner City and sharing her passion surrounding active and healthy lifestyles with others.
